Through this New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) Food Equity and Economic Development in New Jersey (FEED NJ) grant award, we are excited to deepen our collaboration with Newark Science and Sustainability, the City of Newark's Office of Sustainability, and 1Huddle to enhance access to healthy food and nutrition education. Our work will continue to strengthen the state's food security infrastructure by sponsoring the participation of several hundred families in a community-supported agriculture program that delivers fresh, locally grown produce; expanding and bringing together communities of practice, and supporting gamified digital food and nutrition education.
Newark's Harvest - A Citywide Garden Tour
This week-long historical garden tour and present-day harvest will provide an opportunity for residents and visitors to learn about the rich agricultural spaces across our city. Join us from September 6th to the 12th. Through workshops, hands-on harvesting, and community engagement, we'll grow together toward a healthier, greener Newark.

14th Annual Sustainable Living Empowerment Conference - Nourishing Newark: Connecting Communities to Sustainable Food Systems
On Thursday, July 16th, community leaders, educators, government, nonprofit organizations, local businesses, students, ecopreneurs, and community members came together for a morning of learning, collaboration, and action focused on strengthening sustainable food systems in Newark and beyond.
