What is the Rutgers Institute for Corporate Social Innovation (RICSI)?
The RICSI is an innovative institute at the Rutgers Business School, one of the United States' longest-standing, largest, most diverse public universities. We are establishing world-class curricula and educational programs while engaging in outreach to instill current and future leaders with the knowledge and motivation to integrate social innovation into their business models and practices.
What do you mean by Corporate Social Innovation?
When we use that term, we are describing the integration of business strategy with the concepts of:
- Giving back to society (philanthropy, CSR, corporate volunteering)
- Aligning profit and purpose (shared value, purpose-driven leadership)
- Engaging in responsible business practices (ESG, paying a living wage, DEI, stakeholder capitalism)
- Advocating for social issues (advocacy, activism, cross-sector partnerships)
